Inconel 600 (UNS N06600 / W.Nr 2.4816) is a nickel-chromium-iron solid solution strengthened alloy, widely known for its excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and outstanding corrosion resistance in various harsh environments. It can withstand long-term service temperatures up to 1100°C with stable mechanical properties, making it ideal for high-temperature furnace components such as furnace rollers, radiant tubes, and heat treatment fixtures.
In addition to high-temperature performance, Inconel 600 offers superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion caused by chloride ions, alkalis, and acids. It performs reliably in chemical processing equipment like reactors, heat exchangers, valves, and pump parts, as well as in marine and desalination systems exposed to seawater.
The alloy has good ductility and excellent workability, supporting cold and hot forming, welding, and machining processes. It is non-magnetic and maintains consistent mechanical strength even under extreme temperature fluctuations.
