Product Description

Hastelloy B-2 (UNS N10665, W.Nr 2.4617) is a high-performance nickel-molybdenum solid solution strengthened alloy, specifically developed for extreme reducing corrosion environments. Featuring ultra-low carbon and silicon content, it effectively prevents grain-boundary carbide precipitation, which greatly enhances its weldability and post-weld corrosion resistance—overcoming the key drawbacks of conventional nickel-molybdenum alloys in harsh reducing media.

This alloy is renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance in reducing environments, particularly in hydrochloric acid of all concentrations and temperatures, as well as sulfuric acid, acetic acid, phosphoric acid, and other aggressive chemical media. It also demonstrates excellent resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, while maintaining stable mechanical properties at continuous service temperatures up to 480°C.

Hastelloy B-2 plates and sheets have good ductility, excellent formability, and weldability, allowing for flexible cutting, bending, and fabrication. With precise dimensional control and uniform surface quality, they are widely used in chemical processing, wet metallurgy, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and environmental engineering fields. Typical applications include chemical reactor linings, hydrochloric acid storage tank liners, wet metallurgy acid leaching equipment plates, and acid-resistant structural parts.
